Magnolia

This is the last blossom left on my tree. This spring has swung between warm and sunny and frosty and wet, so the flowers have been knocked around a bit. I added two layers of KKlassens "waterstained frame"

Coral, Pinks and Purple

I found this little flower in Arizona - not certain what it is, but I loved the colour and form.  I added Kim Klassen's textures Autumn Burst, BackIn and Canvas Back.  I cropped the image afterwards, but might have done better to crop before adding the textures for a rougher look around the edges.

Magnolia blossom

This is a close up view of a White Star Magnolia blossom.  I tweaked the lighting to produce a bit more dramatic view - although still a bit dreamy.

Grape Hyacinth

A nice little grape hyacinth in the garden.  I used a layer of Kim Klassen's Canvasback to rough it up a little

Hellebore

Things are finally starting to bloom in the garden.  I've been spoilled by the unseasonable weather - we haven't had snow since mid-march, so I think that everything should be blooming by now - even though it is still very early.  Hellebores are one of my favourite flowers since I can usually find the blossoms whie there is still snow everywhere.  I processed this image with one layer of Kim Klassen's "Little Things"

Here is an image of a blue hepatica that I planted years ago.  I have several of the white, but have never found another blue one for sale.  I processed this image with Coffee Shop's Orton Action. As always, you can mouse over to see the original image

Spring!

We had a week of extraordinarily warm weather which got everything sprouting weeks early and then more seasonal temperatures shut everything down.  That early taste of spring has made me impatient for my bulbs to flower, so I bought a bunch of tulips to tide me over.  I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

I used two layers of Kim Klassen's "Little Things" texture at 50% - a very subtle softening of the image.

Magnolia

Spring has been unusually early this year... hopefully any forthcoming frosts will be gentle.  I used two layers of Kim Klassen's "shine" texture.
